Our Meetings (held Thursdays at 7 PM in Cruess Hall)
Want to improve your graphic design skills, explore a new area of design, or educate yourself in professional development? PIXEL welcomes anyone and everyone interested in visual communication and those simply looking for a design community. That means both design and non-design majors are encouraged to partcipate at our weekly meetings!
Here are some examples of our weekly meetings:
- Design Sprints: In these sprints, designers are challenged to explore their creativity with a set amount of design constraints. Designers will get the opportunity to practice their package design skills, product design skills, app design skills, etc!
(Some of our previous design sprints included our phone case design sprint, cosmetic packaging design sprint, and album cover redesign sprint).
- Design Workshops: Workshops allow designers of all experience levels to learn and practice skills. Some of our past workshops included our Adobe Illustrator Workshop, Figma Workshop, and Bookbinding Workshop.
- Fireside Chats: Are you interested in hearing what industry professionals have to say about the design career world? This is a great opportunity to ask these professional designers questions about as well as listen to their helpful advice.
